♩♪♫♬ I've been working on the railroadAll the live-long day.
I've been working on the railroad
Just to pass the time away.
Can't you hear the whistle blowing,
Rise up so early in the morn;
Can't you hear the captain shouting,
"Dinah, blow your horn!" ♩♪♫♬
This Whistling Engine debuted in 1958 and was manufactured until 1962. Beautifully preserved, this Whistling Engine is painted white with a zigzag design. The engine makes a whistling sound when it moves. Wheels still move, and the engine still makes the whistling noise when pulled. The pull string is missing, but it could easily be replaced.
Making a darling gift for an imaginative little boy who loves choo-choo trains and toys with wheels, this adorable vintage relic from yesteryear is a bit fragile for its age so attention to care is advised while playing with it...and it would certainly make a fabulously nostalgic and unique decor piece for a baby boy baby shower, baby boy's birthday party, or to decorate chevron accented little boy's room or nursery!
This vintage original 1950s Fisher Price Whistling Engine has normal wear and tear, like surface creasing and some paint has been rubbed off. The engine's boiler actually moves in and out as the train moves, which is what creates the whistling sound. Whistling Engine consists of only an engine, no other cars came with it. Unlike other pulling trains made by Fisher Price, the Whistling Engine has no face, just a round, dark metal piece on the front.
