Donegal: Falcarragh is the nearest point from which to climb Muckish Mountain, the way from the village lying through Muckish Gap.  The ascent is a swift one, but the climber will feel amply rewarded by the magnificent panorama obtained from the summit.  Another promising excursion is to Altan Lough, one of the wildest, loneliest, and yet one of the most beautiful of all the mountain lakes of Donegal.”
