375nm TRUE UV!! Laser Diode 200mW | Brand New

Description

This listing is for a true UV 200mW laser diode. The diode is rated for 200mW raw output at 419mA. Due to losses in the 3-element-glass focusing lens we are using, the laser power meter in the listing pictures only measures 126mW from it. However, with a lens rated for UV lasers, you won’t get the same losses. The wavelength of the diode is confirmed to be 377.6nm by our spectrometer. All measurements of the laser diode were measured with 400mA of input current.
IMPORTANT NOTES
Laser light, especially high energy UV, is extremely damaging to both eyes and skin. Keep skin away from direct laser light and make sure that no laser light, including reflections, enter the eye by using appropriate laser safety glasses.
This laser diode is very sensitive to electrostatic discharge (ESD). Proper precautions must be taken. It's highly recommended to store it in the original packaging until you're ready to use it.
Heatsinking is required to run the laser diode at high powers. Running the diode without sufficient heatsinking will cause the optical output power to decrease, and in the worst case the diode will die from overheating.
Using a CC (Constant Current) power supply / driver is essential for operating the laser diode. The forward voltage of the diode changes depending on optical output power and temperature. DO NOT connect the diode directly to a battery.
