    Description

Here we have a GREAT trio of handcrafted Blenko suncatchers!  These are cryptids- 2 from West Virginia folklore and one from up North!  You will receive:
1- 4 inch approximately Flatwoods Monster suncatcher- crafted in Blenko's charcoal- a gray with a green tint.
1- 3 inch approximately Mothman suncatcher- this was crafted in tangerine, HOWEVER, they were not fired to bring out the red so we have golden colored pieces.  These are going to be   extremely limited in this pale color.
1- 4 inch approximately Big Foot suncatcher crafted in tangerine- these were fired and have the red highlights.
I think the 3 colors go well together.  All of these are rather limited in production, but especially the Flatwoods in charcoal and the yellow Mothman.  They were special orders, not presently or in the past produced in these colors.  I cannot make any predictions about future production- it could happen or not!
I sell those deemed First quality. However, these are handcrafted and not perfectly round and may have a bubble or two.  They are, however, perfectly fun!  These are great in this color.  Will they make more?  I have no idea- maybe, maybe not!
These measure approximately 3 to 4  inches in diameter.  Has a hole drilled for your hanger, not included. Stamped Blenko 2021 on the back.

Each of these pieces are completely handmade and thus will vary slightly.  The process is:
The gatherer bring a blob of hot glass to the craftsman, who shears off the desired amount.  He takes the carved metal mold/stamp and stamps it down on the ball of glass, flattening it and making the design.  The piece cools briefly, is slid over to a paddle and carried to the lehr where it cools slowly, which keeps the piece from cooling too quickly and helps harden the glass.  After several hours of cooling, the pieces are taken to the grinding department where they are drilled for hanging.   Each piece will vary slightly!
If you are ever in the area, visit Blenko Glass in Milton, WV to see these and other pieces being made!  Great craft and great people there!
