Queen Buzzy Bee
Vintage Early 1960's
Recently removed from one of our many storage totes. This Queen Buzzy Bee was one of my cousin Ken's first gifts from Santa. 1963 would have been Christmas number one for cousin Ken. (although he probably doesn't remember)
The toy remains in very good condition. Vibrant colors.The motion of the wings work fine. The noise mechanism is in perfect working order, as the Queen clatters nicely as she moves along. The tight spring antennae vibrate joyfully and fast. I have attempted to picture this above. The date and occaision are gently scripted on the bee' back, also pictured above. A price also appears to still remain scripted on the toy's one side. A small area of paint has peeled off the upper edge just above this scripted price. This is also captured in the above photos. The original yellow pull cord measures 20 inches long.
Queen Buzzy Bee needs to be out of the tote and get buzzing again. Currently in search of a new hive.
