Chrome Continental-sized postcard (approx. 4x6) with a view of theScattery Island lighthouse and associated buildings in county Clare, Ireland.

Caption on back reads, "Scattery Island, Co. Clare.
No: 27B in the Irish Lighthouse Series.
Originally designed to be on rails, so its could be moved when
nearby fort had firing practice. Destroyed by storm 1868 six months
into being built. Light first est. December 1872, present apparatus 1993,
it guides shipping on the Shannon Estuary."
