RARE - VINTAGE POPEYE WOODEN BAND WAGON FISHER PRICE PULL TOY. NON-RESTORED
This item has not had any attempts at restoration, period. It needs cleaned and restored by a professional.
Pre 1960 Pull Toy
Does not have pull string. DOES NEED A NEW PULL STRING
Have not been able to locate any of these for sale - one search turned up an image and it looks as though the cart may have had side panels but can not verify.
I did take this to a local antique store, they do not specialize in toys - as we do not have one locally.
Here is the information gathered.
Could not find a fisher price FP #. It is the exact same construction/mechanics as other fisher price toys in the same time period. Best guess was between 1940-1950 era.
Unique, hard to find, actually suggested I hold on to it for as long as possible.

Drum movement works flawless. Does need new pull string as stated.

UPDATED INFORMATION
Most information I have read about this item lists it as a Fisher Price toy but 'unmarked'.
One website said it could possible be made by American Pre-School
I do not have the exact answer on this as the toy itself is unmarked.
My toy seems to be missing three pieces - the front and sides of the xylophone.
The front says POPEYE BAND WAGON with pictures of the popeye gang the side pieces have additional pictures of the popeye gang.
ALL RESEARCH I HAVE DONE HAS THIS TOY VALUED MINIMUM 0 - OVER ,200 IN GREAT CONDITION.
